Effect of MTE on angiogenesis in vivo. (A) A 0.5 cm-diameter filter paper loaded with 1.0 mg of MTE was applied to the chick CAM and incubated at 37°C for 72 h. The blood vessels surrounding the filter were photographed. Images are representative images of the results obtained from the two groups. Arrow: filter paper. (B) The number of blood vessels was quantified manually in a circular perimeter 0.25 cm from the edge of the filter paper inserts.
