Effect of siRNA-mediated downregulation of excision repair cross-complementing 1 (ERCC1) on early apoptosis rates in relatively resistant MKN45 cell line. The cells were treated with ERCC1 siRNA (10 ng/μl) and platinum agents (IC20) alone for 48 h, or transfected with 10 ng/μl ERCC1 siRNA for 48 h, then followed by platinum agents for another 48 h. The apoptotic effect of the drugs was evaluated by double staining with both Annexin-V-fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and propidium iodide (PI).
