HCT116 cells with either wt-p53 or p53-null were treated with 5-FU alone, DENSPM alone, or both agents for 72 h and harvested for flow cytometry analysis. Simultaneous treatment produced increases in the apoptotic sub-G1 population in both isogenic lines (marked by ↓).
