PSA and MARCKS-ED peptide insert and interact with each other in lipid bilayers. After formation of stable lipid bilayers, colominic acid/PSA (A and B) or chondroitin sulfate (CS, A and B) was applied to the anode chamber and MARCKS-ED peptide or control peptide was added to the cathode chamber (A–C). For control, bilayers without any addition were analyzed (C). The capacitance was monitored, and mean values ± S.E. of relative capacitance (Ct/Ct = 0) from four independent experiments are shown.
