Protein kinase C (PKC) activation implicates PLC, Ca²⁺, tyrosine kinases and PI3K. AGS cells were pre-incubated with U73122 or D609 (A), were transiently transfected with siRNAs targeting PLCγ1 (B) or PLCβ3 (C), or were pretreated with BAPTA-AM (D), genistein and LY294002 (E) or with the indicated concentrations of BIS I (in μM; (F)) and infected with H pylori P12 for 45 min or for the indicated periods of time. Cell lysates were analysed by immunoblotting using antibodies as indicated. GAPDH was immunodetected to show equal protein amounts in the cell samples.
