Structures of AG moieties of native and trimmed AGPs. Radish root AGP was subjected to sequential trimming with AG-specific enzymes. Based on the results of methylation analysis, the structures of AG moieties of native AGP (A) and the trimmed AGP3 (B) and AGP4 (C) were inferred (Table I; Tsumuraya et al., 1988).
