Table 1.

Raw startle values (group means) from each of the three paradigms in the primary experiment (open cells). Shaded cells indicate mean percent-of-baseline measures (e.g., post-infusion divided by pre-infusion × 100, in the case of CRF-enhanced startle). These values are based on the mean of the individual animal's percent-of-baseline scores and are, therefore, close but not exactly equivalent to the percent of baseline score which would be calculated from the group mean startle values shown in the unshaded cells.
