Values are presented as mean ± S.E.M (n = 3) which with different letters are significantly different at P < 0.05. DPPH free radical scavenging activity was calculated as percentage of DPPH discoloration in 1000 μg/mL of dried extract, catechin (1.8 ± 1.2 µg/mL), and quercetin (1.2 ± 1.2 µg/mL) showed a discoloration of 50%. Trolox (150 µg/mL) presents 244 ± 1.2 µmol Fe+2/g. PE seeds: petroleum ether extract of seeds.
