Ingenuity Pathway Analysis was utilized to identify canonical pathways that were significantly associated with the hypermethylated candidate loci in PND 7 and 60 day old ovaries from animals treated with vehicle (control), 20 μg/kg/day (low-dose MXC), and 100 mg/kg/day (high-dose MXC), between E19 and PND 7, as described in Materials and Methods. Briefly, the significance of the association between the candidate data set and a given canonical pathway was measured by calculating the ratio between the number of molecules from our data sets that map to that particular pathway and the number of all molecules that map to the same pathway. Fisher exact test was used to calculate a P value indicating the probability that the association between the genes in the data set and the canonical pathway is explained by chance alone. A P < 0.05 was considered significant.
