Each bar shows the mean of triplicates ± SE of three independent experiments. GAPDH was used as endogenous gene in all conditions. The symbol “∗” indicates significant changes (P < 0.05) in relation to unchallenged bMEC within each treatment. The letter “a” indicates significant changes (P < 0.05) compared to control cells without treatment. The letter “b” indicates significant changes (P < 0.05) compared to challenged bMEC.
