T3.0 RNA encodes two small peptides. (A) A Flag tag sequence was inserted into the T3.0 transcript just upstream of the AUG codon at position 74356 (left) or 74028 (right). The resultant constructs were introduced into 293T cells. Forty-eight hours posttransfection, cells were subjected to Western blotting using an anti-Flag antibody. (B) BCBL-1 cells were treated with 20 ng/ml of TPA and were analyzed at different time points, as indicated, by Western blotting with an anti-RTA or anti-vSP-1 antibody. (C) Nucleotide sequences of the predicted sORFs, obtained by using the NCBI ORF Finder (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gorf/gorf.html).
