Deletion plasmid pMK2016-2. pMK2016-2 was constructed by using KpnI to excise the attR1-Camr-ccdB-attR2 cassette from pMK2016, in which the FRT elements face outward, and replacing it with a KpnI fragment from pMK2017 containing an attR1-Camr-ccdB-attR2 cassette, in which the FRT elements face inward. Together with the pMK2030 reporter plasmid, pMK2016-2 can be used to construct deletions with defined endpoints.
