Shown to the right of the gene names are their direct three-way orthologs detected in the Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquefasciatus genomes by the reverse BLAST hit methodology. Classic OBPs are featured in blue, PlusC OBPs in red, and two-domain OBPs (or Atypical) in green. The chromosomes were drawn to scale in MapDraw software. The positions of and the distances between gene loci are indicated in megabases. When three-way orthology (1:1:1) was not detected but only two-way orthology (1:1), the two CquiOBP and AaegOBP orthologs are separately connected to the corresponding AgamOBP gene.
