Abbreviations: ANXA11, annexin A11; CI, confidence interval; HLA, human leukocyte antigen; OR, odds ratio; SNP, single-nucleotide polymorphism.

a

SNP rs9268839, located ~16 kb downstream of HLA–DRA, is univariately associated with risk of sarcoidosis in both African Americans (OR = 0.71; 95% CI = 0.61–0.83; P = 9.8*10−6) and European Americans (OR = 0.67; 95% CI = 0.54–0.84; P = 3.7*10−4).

b

N corresponds to the number of case/control individuals for each genotype by ethnicity.

c

P-value for the interaction corresponds to the Wald test of the multiplicative interaction term (additive model) from the standard unconditional logistic regression model fit using generalized estimating equations.
