After treatment with 0.01% methanol or 10−6 mol/L TAM citrate salt for 3 d, changes in cell cycle distribution were detected by FACS. The upregulation rate of S phase in the table was calculated by the formula as follows, Up-Rate = (S phase ratio TAM / S phase ratio Con)×100%. There was a significant change in cell cycle distribution with an upregulation of S-phase after TAM treatment in MCF-7 cells but not in TAM-R cells (P < 0.05).
