Cryo-TEM image of HA crystals formed in the presence of OSN. For imaging in cryo-TEM, mineralized suspensions were applied to Quantifoil grids, blotted, and rapidly frozen in liquid ethane using a FEI Vitrobot Mark IV. Imaging of the samples was done with a FEI Tecnai G2 F20 cryo-STEM.
