RAW264.7 cells were plated onto Bone Resorption Assay Kit 24 plates and cultured in differentiation medium with 0 (control) or 10−3 M nicotine for 7 days. Representative mineral resorption of control or 10−3 M nicotine by osteoclasts (a). Calcium phosphate released from the plate by activation of mineral resorption was quantified by fluorescence intensity using fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) (b).
