According to the risk levels set by National Institute of Health (NIH), Thailand optimal control is a B.I. < 5% and emergency levels of infestation are indicated by a B.I. of 50% or greater. Further as per Ministry of Public Health Thailand (MOPH), Phitsanulok two more groups were categorized, i.e. B.I. between 5% and 10% as moderate index and B.I. between 20 to 50% as alarm index.
