Brain sections from neprilysin-knockout mice 14 days after intracardiac injection of 4 × 10¹¹ genome vectors of rAAV9-SynI::NEP_WT. Exogenous neprilysin was localized in NeuN-positive neurons (a–c), and was also observed in endosomes as confirmed by colocalization with Rab7 (d–f), Rab9 (g–i), Rab5 (j–l), EEA1 (m–o), and SV2 (p–r).
