Rat preglomerular vascular smooth muscle cells were incubated for 1 h in the absence and presence of iodoacetate (50 μmol/l) and without (A and B) or with either 8-aminoguanosine (30 μmol/l; C and D) or purine nucleoside phosphorylase (1 U/ml; E and F).
