Notes: β=beta estimate; SE=standard error; Ref=referent category. The β estimates presented are: 1) the difference in BCRAT estimates of absolute risk of developing breast cancer over the next 5 years (BCRAT 5-year risk) between Hispanic vs. non-Hispanic whites, as well as between Hispanics subgroups; and 2) difference in BCRAT estimates of absolute risk of developing breast cancer over one’s lifetime (BCRAT lifetime risk) between Hispanic vs. non-Hispanic whites, as well as between Hispanics subgroups; e.g. BCRAT 5-year risk of 1.10% compared to BCRAT 5-year risk of 1.06% is a difference of −0.4 percentage points. The β estimates were obtained by multivariate linear regression analyses, Model 1 – adjusted for age, marital status, education, federal poverty level; Model 2 – adjusted for model 1 covariates + usual source of care, insurance; Model 3 – adjusted for model 2 covariates + BMI; and Model 4 – adjusted for model 3 covariates + US born (US vs Foreign born), Years in US (US born, ≤5 years, >5 years).
p<0.001 for two-sided chi-square test comparing all Hispanics to non-Hispanic whites;
p<0.05 and
p<0.001 for two-sided chi-square test comparing each respective Hispanic subgroup to Mexican/Mexican American women.
