Expression profiling of wild-type p53-induced phosphatase 1 (WIP1) reveals a correlation with group C and D medulloblastomas (MBs). WIP1 expression is approximately 1.5 times higher in all MBs compared with normal fetal cerebellum (CB). Increased WIP1 expression is observed in approximately 15% of sonic hedgehog (SHH) MBs, although not significantly higher than fetal CB (P > .05). WIP1 expression is significantly higher in group C and D MBs (P < .001 for both).
