Mouse brains were analyzed 5 min after decapitation to model global brain ischemia as described in the Method section. Brain tissue was fixed before analysis by protein heat denaturing for 5 min in a boiling water bath and extracted using different extraction protocols as described in the Method section. One ng of PGE2d4 was used as internal standard for PG quantification by UPLC-MS/MS as described in the Method section. n=4
