Whole brain ANOVA. Active voxels showed a main effect of the factor sex (female/male) in the right middle temporal gyrus, right fusiform gyrus, right inferior and middle occipital gyrus and right parietal lobe. In the left hemisphere the inferior occipital gyrus displayed active voxels (A). Furthermore we found bilateral activation in the cerebellum. The factor age (adult/child) showed an activation of the right dorsomedial prefrontal cortex (B). In the right lateral orbitofrontal cortex a significant interaction of sex, age and group was detected (C). Significant voxels in A-C represent effects at a corrected p-level of p < 0.05.
