Mice were fed regular chow (Lean, open columns) or HFD (DIO, black columns) for 13 weeks. Relative mRNA expression of Gal-1 (A), Gal-3 (B), Gal-9 (C), Gal-12 (D) and CD68 (E) in SVF and adipocytes in VAT and SAT. Data are reported as gene expression in SVF relative to the adipocyte fraction of lean mice in the same tissue using the ΔΔct method. Levels of Gal-1 (F) and Gal-3 (G) protein in homogenates of SVF and adipocytes obtained from VAT and SAT. Panel E: Levels of Gal-1 and Gal-3 protein in splenocyte cultures.
