Object recognition task 10 days after induction of meningitis by S. pneumoniae. The short-term recognition memory the test is evaluated at 1.5 h after training (STM) and the long-term recognition memory the test is evaluated at 24 h after training (LTM). Data are reported as median and interquartile ranges, and comparisons among groups were performed using Mann–Whitney U tests, n=10 per group.
