A: Glomerular endothelial cells were incubated with apelin-13 (0, 0.01, 1, 100, and 1000 nmol/L ) for 24 h. The MTT assay showed that cell viability was increased significantly at the concentration of 1 nM apelin-13 compared to the control group. The data represent the mean±SD (n = 6, *p<0.05 vs. control group; 0 nmol/L apelin). B and C: The BrdU incorporation assay demonstrated that apelin promoted the incorporation of BrdU into glomerular endothelial cells in a dose-dependent manner after incubation for 24 h.
