Sequential measurements of the absolute concentrations of Aβ1–40 and 42, Aβx-40 and 42 and the relative concentration of oligomeric Aβ (oAβ) from the same subject were carried out by ELISA. Decreases of Aβ levels are depicted by blue lines and increases by red lines. Whereas levels of Aβ40 vary among these subjects, levels of Aβ42 and oligomeric Aβ decline over time.
