Simulation and pancreatic cancer results. (A) ROC curves for different count-vector lengths with and without fold-back fractions for the simulation of eight BFB rounds and equally likely other rearrangements. (B) Observed copy counts and copy counts compatible with BFB on the short arm of chromosome 12 in pancreatic cancer sample PD3641. The presence of fold-back inversions and the count vector’s consistency with BFB suggests that this portion of chromosome 12 underwent BFB cycles.
