RNA of biopsies extracted of aggressive (A) and chronic (B) periodontal lesions and respective contralateral healthy biopsies were transcribed into cDNA. Numbers of iNKT cells expressing the rearranged Vα24Jα18 TCR was determined by SYBR green qPCR, normalized against β-actin levels and calculated using standard curves of known copy numbers. n=10, Wilcoxons paired t-test.
