Distinct clonogenic competence of breast cancer cell lines. MACL-1, MGSO-3 and MDA-MB-231 cells were seeded in a 10-cm2 dish and incubated for 10 days. Colonies of at least 50 cells were counted as survivors. The mean survival fraction ± standard error of the mean (SEM) of triplicate wells was normalized to that of MDA-MB 231 cells, based on the extent of plating efficiency.
