During this period a contraction started as isotonic and ended as isometric (C). Such orbit of dynamic mechanical state corresponds to the expected relation between force and length of muscles according to the Hill's model. Several such velocity/pressure segments were chosen in this composite DPMap to create the fitted Hill's equation in Figure 8.
