The EtBr-agar cartwheel method applied to Gram-positive bacteria.

Cultures were swabbed in TSA plates containing increasing concentrations of EtBr. Following overnight incubation at 37°C for 16 hours, fluorescence was detected under UV light. The concentration shown above as an example for both strains is 2.0 mg/L of EtBr. Note: Data previously published in [21].
