Surface growth of inner surface of a cylindrical tube with pentagonally perturbed inner surface. Spatio-temporal evolution of radial stresses, top, and deviatoric stresses, bottom. The growing inner surface successively increases in area, pulling the elastic volume inward. As growth progresses, the pentagonal perturbation grows into five distinct inner folds.
