Genomic DNA (gDNA) was extracted from lung tissues collected at day 10 p.i. Chlamydial DNA was quantified from lung gDNA by ompA-specific qRT-PCR using a standard curve. The copies of C. muridarum DNA per µg of host gDNA for each vaccine were grouped with their respective route of immunization. Results are presented as the mean ± SD. Significant differences were determined using a one-way ANOVA with Tukey’s post-test. Significance was set at P<0.05 for all tests. P>0.05 (not shown), 0.01–0.05 (*), 0.001–0.01 (**) and <0.001 (***).
