Groups of 8–9 week-old AG129 mice were sc. infected with D2Y98P-PP1 strain or left uninfected as indicated. At day 6 p.i., they were iv. administered with a single bolus (4 ml/kg body weight) of sterile 5% or 7.5% NaCl. (A) Survival rate (n = 10). (B) Clinical scores (n = 10) see legend in Fig. 1.
