Positions of the cell were determined every 2 min by using time-lapse phase microscopy. Migration speed and persistence were calculated from double reciprocal plots of root mean square displacements against time as described in MATERIALS AND METHODS. Persistent distance was calculated by multiplying mean speed with mean persistence. Values shown are mean ± standard error.
