ELK1-dependent genotropic effects of androgen. A, hormone-depleted LNCaP cells were infected with lentivirus expressing ELK1 shRNA or control shRNA. 72 h later (after the knockdown (KD) had occurred), cells were treated with vehicle (Veh) or R1881 (1 nm). 48 h after the treatments, total RNA was extracted and subjected to Affymetrix DNA microarray analysis. The Affymetrix probe profile of ELK1-dependent gene activation by R1881 is plotted.
