  1. One-Handed Tasks:

    1. Shoulder-elbow coordination:

      1. Reach and retrieve a one pound weight

      2. Wipe spilled water

    2. Forearm pronation and supination

      1. Flip cards

      2. Spoon a bean

    3. Whole-hand grasp and object manipulation:

      1. Drink from mug (using palmar grasp & hook grasp)

      2. Squeeze an orange (halved)

    4. Three-finger grasp and object manipulation:

      1. Pinch lemon wedge

      2. Write a word

    5. Two-finger (precision) grip and object manipulation:

      1. Flip a light switch

      2. Stack checkers

      3. Place pegs in a pegboard

    6. Visuomotor coordination/proprioception:

      1. Finger-to-nose (eyes open and closed)

    7. Tactuomotor coordination/stereognosis:

      1. Count coins (with eyes closed)

    8. Finger individuation:

      1. Dial a number on touch-tone phone

      2. Type a word on keyboard

  2. Two-Handed Tasks:

    1. Bilaterally asymmetrical:

      1. Put on a coat (gross arm movements)

      2. Open a jar (palmar grasp)

      3. Cut meat (precision grasp and manipulation)

    2. Bilaterally symmetrical:

      1. Eat a sandwich

    3. Bilateral dexterity:

      1. Tie shoe laces (on a table)

      2. Button a coat (two lower buttons)
