Insulin tolerance tests in mice fed with MCT diet (b right panel; 0.75 U insulin/kg body weight) suggested severe insulin resistance in both GOAT-ob/ob and ob/ob mutant mice, and a normal insulin sensitivity in GOAT-KO and dWT mice.
