Representative sections from rats in I/R and I/R + CCR5Ago groups presented massive inflammatory cell infiltration (arrows) as compared to sham group indicating that I/R injury could trigger the inflammatory response which was reduced in I/R + Pre and I/R + CCR5Ab group. Accordingly, histological score was significantly lower in I/R + Pre and I/R + CCR5Ab groups than in I/R group and higher in I/R + CCR5Ago group than in I/R + Pre and I/R + CCR5Ab groups
