Localization of the islet-associated protein (IA-2) family of protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) in rat pituitary and pancreatic islets. Paraffin sections of anterior pituitary lobes (A–D), intermediate and posterior pituitary lobes (E–H), and pancreatic islets (I–L) were immunostained with anti–IA-2 (A, C, E, G, I, K) or anti–IA-2β (B, D, F, H, J, L) antibodies. Control sections without processing of antigen retrieval are shown in the left two rows of panels (A, B, E, F, I, J). Sections were counterstained with hematoxylin.
