PEI and taxol combination increases apoptosis of MCF7 and MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells. The MCF7 cells were treated with 5 μM of PEITC and 10 nM of taxol alone or in combination. Due to higher resistance of MDA-MB-231 cells, PEITC at 10 μM and taxol at 100 nM were used. Apoptosis was determined using TUNEL assay as described in Materials and Methods.
