Caco-2 monolayers were treated as described in Fig. 1A. Tight junction proteins ZO-1, occludin and claudin-1 were stained by immunofluorescence. Berberine dramatically prevented the IFN-γ and TNF-α-induced morphological disruption of tight junction proteins ZO-1, occludin and claudin-1 in Caco-2 monolayers.
