Effect of treatment with MCC-555 on number of colonic ACF in A/J mice. The number and size of ACF were determined in methylene blue-stained, whole mount distal colons. (A) Number of ACF per colon. A representative picture of methylene blue-stained ACF is shown in the right. (B) Number of ACF per colon based on numbers of crypts per ACF. (C) Average number of crypts per ACF for each group. Results were expressed as mean ± SEM from 10 mice per group. Data were analyzed using SAS for Windows (v9.2; SAS Institute, Inc.) statistical analysis software for statistical difference between different groups. Significance was determined by one-way ANOVA with Tukey’s test for multiple comparisons. Results were considered statistically significant at p < 0.05.
