Both the cytoplasmic expression and nuclear translocation of β-catenin were significantly inhibited upon Huaier treatment. (A) SKOV3, (B) SKOV3.ip1 and (C) Hey cells were treated with 5 mg/ml and 7.5 mg/ml Huaier for 24, 48 and 72 h. The cytoplasmic and nuclear proteins were extracted separately. A representative western blot is shown. For densitometric analysis of β-catenin levels, the results were normalized to the levels of GAPDH (for cytoplasmic proteins) or histone 1 (nuclear proteins). The basal level for the untreated groups at each time point was assigned a value of 1.0.
