Evaluation of the degradation of the substrate HD-Pro-Phe-Arg-ρNa proteins by DU145 and PC3-CM cells pretreated with rBbKIm. CM-DU145 and CM-PC3 were collected from untreated cells (control) and cells treated with rBbKIm for 48 h. CM-DU145 and CM-PC3 (50 μg) were incubated in Tris/HCl 50 mm, pH 8.0, containing 0.5 m NaCl and the substrate HD-Pro-Phe-Arg-ρNa (0.5 mm) at 37 °C for 24 h. The values are expressed as the means ± standard deviation of a representative experiment performed in triplicate. Significant differences versus controls are presented (t test; **, p < 0.0001).
