The model parameter space separated into diffusion (left-top) or advection (right-bottom) dominated particle transport (the separation shown in blue), shown for five representative tissue samples selected out of 30 considered in this study. For the small Péclet numbers (Pe = 0.04–4) the transport is diffusion-dominated for all tissue topologies. For the maximal considered Péclet number (Pe = 4000) the transport is convection-driven for all tissue architectures. In the case of the medium Péclet numbers (Pe = 40–400) the particle transport changes its characteristics depending on the tissue architecture.
