Sulforaphane (SNF), an activator of NRF2-mediated cytoprotection, reduced BUN levels after glucose injections in heterozygous Aqp11sjds/+ mutant (sjds/+) compared with WT mice (6 mice per group). Mice received intraperitoneal injections of 3 mg/kg body wt glucose daily for 3 days with or without SNF (2 mg/kg ip). Blood urea nitrogen (BUN) was assessed after the last glucose injection.
