Vitamin D3 is necessary for PGN-induced secretion of IL-6, IL-8, and IL-10. DC were stimulated with 0, 20 or 100 nM of vitamin D3 and dilutions of PGN (from 0.1 to 10 μg/ml). Cell-culture supernatants were assessed for IL-6 (a), IL-8 (b), IL-10 (c), and IL-12 (d) by ELISA. Experiment is representative of at least two independent experiments.
